Welcome To Probate
Welcome To Probate was created by Attorney Darcel Lobo to fill a gap in the legal industry; specifically in the probate process. It has been her experience that there are many probates where full representation by an attorney is not necessary, however, the named Personal Representative would like some guidance on how to navigate the probate process. This program is far more than just downloadable forms for you to fill out; it is a detailed roadmap on how to navigate the probate process. It includes:
- Video tutorials for all lessons
- All the legal forms needed with detailed instructions on how to complete them
- A timeline for administering the probate estate
- Supplemental course materials
- Access to course content for 12 months (can be renewed if necessary)
Good fit:
- Personal Representative is organized and willing to administer probate on their own with guidance and a roadmap on
how to navigate the probate process - Decedent had a will
- Decedent is a WA resident
- Decedent did not own a business
- All heirs are US citizens
- No disputes among heirs
- All heirs are adults and identifiable
- All heirs communicate and cooperate
- Estate is solvent (meaning more assets than debts)
- Estate value under $3 million (under $2.193 million if Decedent died between 1/1/2018-6/30/2025)
Not a good fit:
- Personal Representative wants an attorney to represent them and handle the probate process for them
- Decedent did not have a will
- Decedent was not a WA resident
- Any heirs are minors or not US citizens
- You expect there may be disputes among the heirs or family members
- Estate is insolvent (meaning more debts than assets)
- Estate value is over $3 millions (over $2.193 million if Decedent died between 1/1/2018-6/30/2018)
